Fall Fashion: Mix & Match with Plaid

Fall is my absolutely favorite season for fashion! I love the boots, scarves, jackets, sweaters, leggings, and all the different layering you can do with these pieces. Unfortunately, I live in Florida where I won’t get to do a lot of layering until about mid-January; which is why I take pleasure in finding ways to mix and match key fall statement pieces with my summer wardrobe. The easiest way to do this is to incorporate plaid button ups into your everyday style, tuck it into a fun and flirty skirt (as pictured below), tie it around your waist with a pair of leggings and a loose fitted tee or crop top, or wear it over a fitted tank dress – all options can be paired with a chunky heel peeped toe bootie (definitely a major trend this season). Want to take it up a notch? Add a belt with gold detailing and other accessories, this will definitely take your outfit to the next level. Results from NYFW (New York Fashion Week) says gold accessories are a must this fall.

Very cute outfit. You remind me of my friend Carol who could have been a model, but became a lawyer instead. I met her in Jamaica (surprise) and she wanted to go to New York so she could wear winter jackets. She is in London. Close.

    1. Thank you! She can wear winter jackets in London as well. I would prefer to live there than New York, plus the British accent would definitely be a bonus!
